Congrats to Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints, Super Bowl XLIV Champs!

I know the current season isn’t even over yet, but I can’t help but be stoked about next year. With two first-round picks and another year with Coach Sing at the helm, the Niners should be poised to take the NFC West. Yee!
Hopefully this vid can hold me over until next season.

Check out the new Nike spot featuring Mo Williams, Kevin Durant, Rashard Lewis, and Andre Iguodala. This had me crackin’ up..haha. Nike marketing ftw.

I figured this footage would surface sooner or later, and here it is. Not the greatest dunk ever, but the “king” still got dunked on nonetheless.
I’m sure if it wasn’t for the cover up the casual fan would have never seen or cared about this. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

Here’s the ESPN interview of Jordan Crawford talking about his dunk on LeBron James.

Anybody hear this crazy story about LeBron getting dunked on during a pickup game at his basketball camp? Apparently Jordan Crawford of Xavier dunked on James during a scrimmage (two-handed at that), but the clip will never see the light of day thanks to Nike officials who supposedly confiscated the tapes. C’mon LBJ…everybody gets dunked on at some point, right?
I’d imagine if there were footage of the event, this is what the poster would look like.

For those of you that follow the NBA, here’s an interesting article by Bill Simmons regarding the current state of officiating in the league. Personally I’ve grown to have a love/hate relationship with the NBA because of how bad the officiating has become, and this article basically says what I’ve been thinking…except a hundred times better.

I always love watching game #7 of a seven game series, but who doesn’t? It brings out the best in its competitors and gives the fans a chance to see who really “wants it” more. I can finally cross attending a game 7 playoff game off my bucket list because I was able to check out the final game of the Lakers and Rockets series. It didn’t turn out to be the nail biter I hope for, but the energy in the building was still pretty amazing.

Disguised as a Laker fan.

Love ‘em or hate ‘em, you gotta respect the hustle.

Big ups to Tito Manny for getting the win against Ricky Hatton this past weekend. Not only did he get the win…he demolished him. As is customary during a Pacquiao fight at my place, my buddies and I took a shot after every knockdown. I had no idea I’d be buzzin’ that hard after the 2nd round.

…not in Derrick’s house.

All I can say is, “wow.” This is shaping up to be one of the most exciting playoff series I’ve seen in awhile. Of the first six games, five have come down to the last play. Four of those games also went into overtime, with one going into double OT and another into triple OT. The NBA sure didn’t lie when they said the playoffs is where “amazing” happens.
As a long time Bulls fan and HUGE Derrick Rose fan since his high school days, I hope they can pull out the game 7 win on Saturday. Let’s go Bulls!!
