There’s nothing like finding a song you can totally relate to when you’re in a bit of a funk. It’s like having someone sort out your thoughts for you. In musical form nonetheless. How awesome is that?
Add this to the soundtrack of my life.

…great weekend in the books. A random night with good friends, Kid Cudi, and an awesome 49er game (despite the L). Here’s a crappy pic from the Kid Cudi show, but it’s all I got. I even got splashed with some Cudder’s Cristal like I was a stripper or something. How cool is that?

Not feeling very typative (is that a word?) right now so I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Here is a mere smattering of some of my pics from my first trip to the Getty.

Post Script: I just found “typative” on urbandictionary.com and it turns out it meant exactly what I thought it meant. That’s all.
Check out what a drunk driver did to my cousin Brian’s parked truck last night. Luckily nobody was hurt.

A lot of memories in that truck, including our cross-country road trip from Wichita, Kansas to Southern California. Don’t drink and drive people!!

What a whirlwind of a holiday weekend! Some of the highlights of the past few days include the Santogold show at Empire, my cousin Mima’s graduation and graduation party, and partying it up at the House of Blues for my good friend Rachel’s birthday. Too bad I didn’t have less to drink, otherwise I might actually remember seeing the Beat Freaks tear it up with this performance:

Wow, I just noticed I’ve been seriously neglecting this blog over the past two months. I guess you could say I’ve been busy with life, but that should mean I should have more to blog about right? The problem is, since I’m busy with life I don’t have time to blog about the stuff I could be blogging about. Conundrum.
Regardless, it’s time to get back on the (blogging) grind. You’ll be hearing from me again soon.

Another first for me today…giving blood. I can probably attribute the fact that I never gave blood before to the fact that I used to be scared of needles. Not so much anymore. I have no idea why.

I also decided to donate some extra red cells because they told me I could save two lives instead of one. This involved being hooked up to this crazy machine and about half an hour of them pumping fluids in and out of me.

Overall it was a really good experience and something I would definately do again. Oh yeah, the pair of Clipper tickets and pint of ice cream didn’t hurt either.
As an added bonus…
So I finally went snowboarding for the first time today and I think I’m hooked. I was actually able to get the hang of it pretty fast. A lot of people mentioned that the hardest part is just getting off the lift, which Brian was nice enough to demonstrate.

Overall I had a really good time. I can’t wait to go again.

So I headed down to SoCal this weekend for a white elephant gift exchange with the LBC crew. It might seem weird to have a Christmas gift exchange two weeks into the New Year, but I like listening to Christmas songs in July so it didn’t really faze me.
We had an “ugly holiday sweater” theme for the party, which turned out pretty awesome. My ugly sweater consisted of a $3 sweater from Target with a bunch ornaments from the Goodwill safety-pinned to it. The box of ornaments was on clearance since it was already January, and it only cost me $1.50. So in the end my sweater cost less than $5. How cool is that? My downfall was that a lot of the objects on my sweater were pretty fragile, which was evidenced by my shattering one of the ornaments during a game of shoulders.
Everyone’s ugly sweaters and white elephant gifts.

I also have to give a special shout out to the ugly sweater of the night. Congrats Mikey. Bonus points for the couture pose.

Merry Christmas everybody!!
“…and I don’t feel any different.”
At least not yet anyway. Hopefully I will start to feel a little different if I can keep up with my New Year’s resolutions. One of which is keep this blog up-to-date.
I’ve tried keeping a blog on several occasions, but I’m just really bad at staying with it. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if I can do it this time.
